As a traveler living an unorthodox life, you sometimes run into unexpected interactions. Some of them are very enlightening and even puts a whole new scope on one’s thought process especially when you are questioning if what you are doing makes sense.

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting a “traveler living the nomadic lifestyle” outside of a rest stop I’ve been frequently visiting for showers. His cool breeze demeanor and chill stature sitting in front of Love’s (a convenience store and gas station) screamed dude we gotta chat!

Jake, a traveler of 13 years had a lot to share with this unicorn and while he felt he had “nothing special to offer”, I would have to argue otherwise.

I met Jake the night before sitting in the same spot I found him the next morning. Initially, I thought he hitched a ride based on our last convo which he stated he was headed North. However as luck and intrigue would have it, maybe we were meant to engage further. With that, I commenced my first one-on-one journalist interview.
