We all know the legendary and girl-power-inspired show Sex and the City with all the sexcapades, love interests, and female connectivity of four friends living in New York City. Each of them inspired us to strive for more and be confident, while also pinging our triggers, and sparking our inner sassy and bad-girl appeal.

But let’s step out of the television nostalgia for a moment and focus on the main character of the show or rather her character description compared to my own.

Carrie Bradshaw was a sex columnist, and an everyday woman muddling through life the best way she knew how. In between Mr. Big, Aiden, and her friends, she also utilized her gift of writing to provoke thought-pondering questions.

She had a bold stance with a classy girl demeanor while struggling to live in the heart of New York City. But for as much boldness and charisma as she had and for as inspiring as she was towards my writing career…

I’m way too blunt to follow her style!
